Writing – In the park

Grade 3: English FAL – Monday, 11 May 2020

Dear grade 3 learners,

Today we are going to do some written work. You are going to write a paragraph of 5 sentences about what is happening in the picture.                                                                       

     

Assignments for the day:                                                                                   

• Read Sight words no. 10                                   

Complete task 1:

• Look at the picture and read the words in the word box next to the picture.
• Write 5 sentences about what is happening in the picture. Remember to write 1 paragraph.

 

Important things to remember when you are writing a paragraph:

1.  Write 5 sentences by beginning each sentence after the full stop of the previous sentence.

2. Remember to start your sentences with a capital letter and end your sentence with a full stop.

3. Don’t write the sentences underneath each other.

4. Read your sentences afterwards and make sure that your words are in the correct order.

5. Check for any spelling errors.

Sentence structure:

Read the sentences and write it in the correct order.

e.g. The green growing the apple tree is on.

       The green apple is growing on the tree.
